The Classy Awards honor the impact of innovative nonprofits.
San José, Calif. April 6, 2023 — Classy, a giving platform that enables nonprofits to connect supporters with causes they care about, has named Envision Your Pathway (EYP) as a finalist for the 2023 Classy Awards. Launched in 2009, The Classy Awards shine a spotlight on the innovative work nonprofits are implementing around the globe. Today, we’re proud to share that our Visionaries Program has been recognized for its innovative approach to youth development and propelling youth forward into pathways of their choosing.
Founded in 2020, EYP is a female-led nonprofit social enterprise that provides Opportunity Youth ages 15-24 with a comprehensive program focusing on skills building, civic engagement, self-determination, and the guided acceleration for youth to chart and pursue individual pathways to ongoing education and careers. EYP believes that youth Visionaries, as the next generation of leaders, change makers, and workforce innovators, must be given the necessary tools and lift to propel themselves into pathways that are true to their own goals, values, and brand.
Now in its third year, EYP supports 60 youth annually in Santa Clara County and San Mateo County. The Visionaries Program strives to provide young people with the sustainable opportunities for economic resilience, emphasizing persistence, youth leadership and civic engagement. The thematic program design builds and strengthens universal, transferable skills with opportunities for reflection, discussion, and practice, as well as pipelines for ongoing development.
This year, 11 Classy Awards will be distributed including the People’s Choice Award, which is determined by public vote. Supporters can vote here for Envision Your Pathway from April 6-April 25, 2023. Winners will be announced live on June 7 at the Collaborative by Classy conference in Philadelphia, PA.
