When EYP was founded as a nonprofit social enterprise in July of 2020, it was created with a guiding principle in mind- that all youth should feel empowered to pursue a pathway that is true to their own values, brand, and goals.
Youth should feel confident and equipped to pursue a goal that makes sense for them- whether that’s ongoing education or career opportunities. In EYP’s program, youth –
- Find their voice and the growth mindset to exercise it
- Build a vision for their future
- Accelerate their development through upskilling, reskilling, and new skilling
- Build self-efficacy to pursue and persist as leaders
- Strengthen critical thinking skills to see the world outside of their own circles
- Start on a pathway to a future of their own design
In other words, we want our youth to find and exercise their True Force. True Force is a brand and company founded by entrepreneur and business owner Adam Montez. When Adam launched the company in 2016, he set out to make True Force more than a logo, and established it as a mindset, a way of life, and a community. As their website states, “True Force is having the strength of heart to follow your passion and make dreams into reality and the power of mind to do what others won’t today, so tomorrow you can accomplish what others can’t.”
On April 8, True Force and EYP officially launched a partnership to amplify their respective missions and expand the collective community of youth, advocates, and leaders.
The partnership will include joint civic engagement projects and community outreach. True Force is running a campaign on its website to provide support for EYP’s program, specifically its Visionaries Cohort, for youth ages 15-24 years old. When visitors to the website purchase True Force clothing and merchandise, they can enter the code EYP20 and 20% of the proceeds will go directly to the nonprofit.
“We have been waiting for an opportunity just like this. To partner with a non-profit who shares our vision and mission to inspire others to be the best version of themselves in all that they do is something we at True Force have been wanting to do since our launch in 2016. It has finally happened and EYP embodies exactly what it means to use your True Force, and I am extremely honored and grateful to be teaming up with EYP on this journey of spreading positivity and inspiring others (especially youth). Together we can make a positive difference and I could not be more excited to welcome EYP to the True Force Family!” said True Force Founder and Owner Adam Montez.
With EYP’s focus on building 21st century skills and further upskilling in areas like entrepreneurship and personal brand and values, partnering with a local small business that promotes individuality and confidence felt like a natural fit.
“EYP is all about fostering an environment for youth that is positive, supportive, and empowering. We are working with the next generation of leaders, entrepreneurs, and change makers. True Force shares all of these values and spreads such an uplifting message through its brand and its community. We’re thrilled to see this partnership continue to grow and thrive,” said EYP Founder and Executive Director Kendra O’Donoghue.
